I for one can say that this is one movie that they have to remake

@geraldtui No, not the 1984 reboot. I meant the FIRST GODZILLA MOVIE from 1954. The one that started everything! I'm assuming you haven't seen it but I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you to see it. It's more than just monster fare. It's a powerful, emotionally striking film with an important message against nuclear weapons with Godzilla used as an allegory for the atomic bomb & nuclear holocaust. It's a movie that completely defined the genre and altered the course of giant monster movies. It's a MUST-SEE!

@GORIZARD7 You mean the 1984 one? Yes i've seen it. I actually saw it after i had seen Godzilla (US Version) but yeah, i think that would've played a big factor. But aside from all that. Godzilla did a pretty good job conveying the idea that Godzilla had emotions and it was not just a destroyer. Where as for Gojira, I thought it was just a Monster that destroyed everything.

@geraldtui I guess. It just seemed they borrowed TOO MUCH elements from Jurassic Park or Beast From 20,000 Fathoms, which the movie seems more like a remake of than Godzilla. And Gojira wasn't a kids film. It was actually NEVER MEANT for kids. It was a very dark and serious film with an anti-nuke message behind it. Have you seen it? The original 1954 Godzilla film?

geraldtui (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
@GORIZARD7 I really enjoyed this movie though. It came out the same time, sort of ish.. well i watched it the same time when Jurassic Park came out and the CGI was so believable for a mid 1990s movie. Gojira was just a kids movie in my point of view. It sucks that critics and bad ratings bought this down.

They should have pitched this as The Beast From 20'000 Fathoms instead of Godzilla.I still enjoyed it though.

Such a good movie, I'm still waiting for the sequel!

GORIZARD7 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
@geraldtui Gojira sucked? Your arguments are now completely invalid!

@ramque002 Dude that doesn't make ANY SENSE!!! You just said that this movie is better than itself. WTF?
