This retaining wall was painted for a friend (see YouTube member LA of RNSvideo; fabulous videos of 3 day eventing, etc.) on a weekend during the last pleasant days of 2007. The background shows the time between day/evening and/or night/dawn = twilight. The work on this took 4 hours and I still have the scar from the brush handle. The figures were finished the next day and took about 5 or 6 hours. Representations of symbols and real life critters in the owner's life. I also find Oriental-type dragons extremely fun to paint since I can let loose and play. The paint was a PainInTheAss to work with BTW, as it was very "drippy".
